Our Story

Welcome to Pure Hibiscus Home! I am Jheanelle, creator and chief maker. Among the many hats that I wear in my life I am a Christian, wife, registered nurse, scent enthusiast, and “hooman” to two adorable and curious chocolate Labradors.

Pure Hibiscus Home started as an idea in 2017 when I realized that store bought candles aggravated my allergies and caused me to sneeze and have a runny nose. I love candles and scenting my space, so I wanted an alternative to the candles I purchased regularly. I decided to try making my own candles. I tested various waxes, wicks, and fragrance oils and found the ones that did not cause an allergic reaction in me. This became a hobby. That hobby of mine turned into what you see today.

Our candles are made from coconut-soy wax, phthalate-free fragrance oils, and lead-free wicks. They are handcrafted in small batches by our small team.

In addition to making awesome candles, we are committed to giving back. Every month we will donate 10% of gross sales to a selected non-profit organization.
